Cosmic Rays Reveal Mysterious Void Inside Great Pyramid – What’s Hiding Inside?

AncientPages.com - There is still so much we don’t know about the magnificent great Pyramid of Giza. Researchers have now announced an extraordinary discovery that raises more questions than answers.

Using cosmic rays created at the edge of space, a team of physicists and engineers has discovered a previously unknown “void” in the Great Pyramid at Giza in Egypt.

The “Scan Pyramids Big Void,” as scientists are calling it, is around 98 feet long and about 50 feet high.

Researchers have currently no clue what’s hiding inside the void. The purpose of the void remains unknown and at present there is no possibility to access this fascinating place.

“No very big structure has not been discovered inside the Khufu pyramid since the Middle Ages,” Mehdi Tayoubi, co-founder of the nonprofit organization that led the research

The Great Pyramid of Giza is one of the most impressive and mysterious constructions of the ancient world.

Many theories have been presented, but the truth is that no-one has been able to solve how the ancient Egyptians built the Great Pyramid of Giza.

Known as Khufu’s pyramid, the structure was built around 2560 BC to ensure the immortality of the Pharaoh Khufu after his death.

Archaeologists have long disagreed over how the material was transported to Giza, now part of modern-day Cairo, for construction of Pharaoh Khufu’s tomb in 2600 BC. Some scientists think an ancient papyrus can solve the mystery and explain how exactly the Great Pyramid was built.

Why the Great Pyramid was built has long been a subject of debate. According to one theory put forward by Lewis Spence there are hidden prophecies inside the Great Pyramid.

The void scientists have now discovered is just as mysterious as the Great Pyramid. Archaeologists say that while it’s still hard to say how archaeologically significant the void is, it’s likely an intentional design element.

“When you’re dealing with creating a monument to house the immortal remains of an individual who bridges heaven and Earth, and whose ascendance to the stars helps assure the perpetual prosperity of Egypt, I don’t think [this void] was a cost-cutting measure,” Adam Maskevich, an archaeologist who was not an author of the paper, explains.
