‘Georgia Guidestones’: Bizarre Ominous And Strange Monument In North America
Ellen Lloyd - AncientPages.com - A bizarre and strange monument in America can be found in northeastern Georgia, North America. It is the Georgia Guidestones - an ominous monolith with stone tablets inscribed with directions for rebuilding civilization after the apocalypse.
Only one man knows who created them—and he's not talking. In June 1979, an unidentified person (or persons) under the pseudonym R. C. Christian hired Elberton Granite Finishing Company to build the structure. For what purpose was the monument raised?

Five massive slabs of polished granite rise out of the earth in a star pattern. The rocks are each 16 feet tall, with four of them weighing more than 20 tons apiece. Together they support a 25,000-pound capstone. A capstone lies on top of the five slabs, which are astronomically aligned.
The structure is sometimes referred to as an "American Stonehenge" and it is undoubtedly one of the most enigmatic monuments in the US.
Erected in 1980 in Elbert County, Georgia, the Georgia Guidestones monument is a great mystery - no one knows exactly who commissioned its construction and why.
The only clues about its origin are located near the stone tablet - containing the dimensions and explaining a complex series of notches and holes that correspond to the movements of the sun and the stars as well as "tips" in the form of directives carved into the rock.
The instructions are carved into eight languages ranging from English to Swahili and reflect a peculiar New Age ideology.

There is one language on each face of the four large upright stones. Moving clockwise around the structure from due north, these languages are: English, Spanish, Swahili, Sanskrit, Hebrew, Arabic, Chinese, and Russian.
- Maintain humanity under 500,000,000 in perpetual balance with nature.
- Guide reproduction wisely — improving fitness and diversity.
- Unite humanity with a living new language.
- Rule passion — faith — tradition — and all things with tempered reason.
- Protect people and nations with fair laws and just courts.
- Let all nations rule internally resolving external disputes in a world court.
- Avoid petty laws and useless officials.
- Balance personal rights with social duties.
- Prize truth — beauty — love — seeking harmony with the infinite.
- Be not a cancer on the earth — Leave room for nature — Leave room for nature.
For more than three decades the structure has been protected by many supporters and also vandalized by strong opponents attacking the monument as the Ten Commandments of the Antichrist.
However, the most widely agreed-upon interpretation of the stones is that they describe the basic concepts required to rebuild a devastated civilization.
