Mysterious Sumerian Star Tablet And Strange Divine Omens – Sacred Knowledge Of The Gods – Part 1
Ellen Lloyd - AncientPages.com - Sometimes we find answers to our questions in our dreams. Dreams can solve problems that trouble us during waking hours.
There are many examples of scientists who came up with great inventions or solutions to complex problems in a dream.
The subconscious mind is extremely powerful, and its powers should not be underestimated, but some dreams can be so odd they give us reason to question the nature around us. Can ancient texts offer evidence boundary between unreality and reality can be crossed?
How can something you have dreamed about suddenly appear right in front of you when you wake up? Can “someone” from a different realm communicate with you through your dreams? These do sound like absurd questions, but one King in Sumer had reason to wonder what was happening while he was asleep.
Archaeologists excavating in Mesopotamian have unearthed a vast number of cuneiform tablets that provide us with knowledge about the traditions, beliefs, and scientific achievements of the Sumerian people. Cuneiform tablets are widely regarded as one of the earliest systems of writing invented by the Sumerians. “The writing was dedicated to the people of earth by Enki, God of Wisdom.
According to Mesopotamian beliefs, writing is considered to be a gift of the gods, and as such, writing means both power and knowledge.” 1
Among the excavated clay tablets there are some that give accounts of mysterious events and secrets of the gods. Today we look at one divine Sumerian star tablet that is just as baffling as the omens a Sumerian King could not comprehend.
