Inside the mysterious cave, archaeologists discovered hundreds of teeth belonging to prominent Maya individuals who were buried in distant locations. The purpose of this ritual tooth cache and the reason for separating the teeth from the bodies remain unclear, but there are some interesting theories. Can the ancient Maya four-body-part belief offer some clues, or is there another explanation?
