Was the legendary Tree of Life located in the Grove of Eridu?
The ancient city of Eridu (present day Abu Shahrein, Iraq) was long considered the earliest city in southern Mesopotamia. Many scholars still maintain Eridu is the oldest city in the world.
Located not far from the ancient city of Ur, Eridu was one of the most magnificent Sumerian cities with plenty of splendid temples and ziggurats.
