Today's article is about Kalaripayattu (or kalari), an ancient South Indian martial art that was once considered so dangerous that the British banned it. Nowadays, many recognize the health benefits of Kalaripayattu, which is practiced empty-handed.
Kalaripayattu's variety and forms of technique resemble and predate Chinese Kungfu ('Wushu'), Tai Chi, and Karate.
