The Phoenicians – And Their Great Experience As Sea Traders
A.Sutherland - AncientPages.com - In this interesting ancient history documentary we are sailing together with the Phoenicians and view the world through their eyes.
These people were great maritime people, known for their mighty ships and a great experience as sea traders, traveling across the Mediterranean Sea, and as far north as Britain.
The Mediterranean Sea during the 5th century BC was a great commercial network created by the Phoenicians.
An Egyptian amulet, a Greek vase in Africa, and a huge number of goods moving from one country to another had to be transported in some sort of systematic way.
This special way of transportation was created by the Phoenicians.
